ทำแต่สิ่งที่ดี ความดีจะคุ้มครองเรา
Do good deeds, and those good deeds will protect you.
คำพูดที่คนไทยชอบพูดกันก็คือ “คนทำดีได้ดีมีที่ไหน คนทำชั่วได้ดีมีถมไป” ซึ่งเป็นคำพูดลบ ๆ ที่คนไทยบางกลุ่มได้สร้างขึ้นมา ทำให้คนไทยที่คิดลบก็จะรับเอาคำพูดนี้ไปและก็สนใจในการทำความดีน้อยลงไป ที่จริงแล้วการทำสิ่งที่ดี โดยเฉพาะกับผู้อื่นนั้นเป็นการทำบุญ ทำกุศล ซึ่งผลบุญบารมีนั้นจะคุ้มครองให้ผู้ที่ทำความดีนั้นปลอดภัยจากภยันตรายทั้งปวง ดังคำพูดของคนไทยอีกประโยคหนึ่งที่ว่า “คนดีผีคุ้ม”
There is a Thai saying “Where is the benefit for the one who does good deeds , there are a lot of bad guys who are successful ?” this is a negative saying that some Thais have created , and has led some negative persons to adopt the saying , and they pay less attention in doing good deeds.
In actual fact, doing good deeds especially to other people is merit making which results in saving a person from trouble. This relates to another Thai saying “The ghost protects a good person”
